For Monty Python’s Edukational Show, we wanted to have signs to assist with the transition between scenes since they were so fast-paced and back-to-back. I worked with the director on a font and color scheme for the signs, and then got to work.
I printed the signs to scale on multiple pages. I then poked holes in the letters with a pounce wheel so I could spread chalk dust over the pages and transfer the letters to a board. Then, I painted in all the letters and added a border around the edges. The result were these whimsical transition signs.
