For Embers Adrift, there are multiple sequences where the main players get pelted with bones by an unseen enemy. We knew if there were going to be multiple of these sequences, we would need a lot of bones.
We hunkered down as a team for a day and churned out 87 bones. We started by taking cardboard tubes that we wrapped and shaped with tinfoil. With our bone structure established, we coated them in paper mache and let them dry and harden. Finally, we coated them in white spray paint.
